ITA IDCO Training Program
The ITA International Doping Control Officer (IDCO) Training Program is the International Testing Agency (ITA) certification which worldwide guarantees that doping controls are conducted by trained DCOs/BCOs/professionals in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC) and its eight International Standards.
This certification was developed by a selected group of the best international experts in the sample collection field, among which is Professional Worldwide Controls (PWC) and other specialists, contributing with more than 25 years of experience in the anti-doping sector, together with other specialists in the field.
This course is divided into 3 different blocks in order to cover the core and mandatory processes required according to the WADA International Standards, which are the following:
- The Anti-Doping Landscape
- Anti-Doping operations
- Anti-Doping procedures
- Modifications to Procedures, Failures to Comply and Refusals
- Testing at Major Games
- Testing at International Events
- Out-of-Competition (OOC) testing of athletes
- Final examination
*Note: There is a short quiz that must be completed at the end of each course.

Last but not least, any ITA IDCO credential shall be renewed every two years by submitting evidence of ongoing professional development and current experience.
